About Missy...
Missy’s yoga journey began in 2004 when she was searching for a creative way to create movement in the body while simultaneously relieving stress. She instantly fell in love with the complexity of strength combined with flexibility, energy combined with serenity, and the art of the practice coupled with the science of yoga. In 2008 Missy decided to take her skill as a professional educator and combine it with her love of yoga by attending Bikram’s Yoga Teacher Training in Acapulco, MX. After experiencing the joy of helping others reach their potential through the practice of yoga, she continued her education by completing certifications in Pilates and barre (with an emphasis on anatomy kinesiology) before also obtaining her certification in Vinyasa Yoga. In 2011, Missy combined her love of the precision and therapeutic nature of Pilates with the fast-paced, cardiovascularly challenging movements to create pyroPILATES. Missy strongly believes in utilizing knowledge of the body and its movement to guide students through their practice. She has studied extensively with professionals in the field of anatomy and kinesiology and has conducted more than 25 trainings and workshops addressing anatomy and kinesiology as it relates to body movement.
Missy lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with her husband and 2 cats.
